Character actor/director/producer Ron Silver, 62, passed away earlier today following his battle with cancer. Silver won a Tony for David Mamet's Speed The Plow and also appeared in his play, Hurlyburly.On television, Silver appeared in such series as Chicago Hope, Law and Order, The West Wing, and Veronica's Closet.
In film, Silver appeared in such films as Reversal of Fortune, Blue Steel, The Ten, Silkwood, Timecop and Find Me Guilty.
My personal favorite performance was in the unsold television pilot, Heat Vision and Jack starring Jack Black and directed by Ben Stiller. Check out the titles sequence after the jump.
