Tell me about your column and your latest projects.
I've been doing interviews with Sci Fi/Fantasy authors, but I'll be covering technology, movies, television and all things geek.
Who or what are the biggest influences on your work and If you could pick one person to collaborate with living or dead, who would you pick?
I write the way I talk, so I could say my very funny dad is my influence. I hope to be as funny as he is. But I was heavily influenced by Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman, Anne McCaffery and Marion Zimmer Bradley in the fantasy arena. And RPG's.
What album had the most influence on your adolescence?
Metallica, Queensryche, Led Zepplin (I know they're not albums) And Pat Benetar and Heart because I used to be a singer and that was my style.
What were your favorite toys or games from your childhood?
Soundwave the Decepticon, Dungeons and Dragons, Frogger...I never had a Sit n Spin and I feel that scarred me for the rest of my life. :)
What is your pop culture guilty pleasure? (What movie, tv show, band, etc. do you love that you know is awful, but you love it anyway?)
I watched Moonlight and...I'm turning red with embarrassment, but I can't stop watching Ghost Whisperer. I am so ashamed.
If you could own one piece of artwork by any artist, who would you choose and why?
Anything by Waterhouse. I'm a HUGE Pre-Raphaelite fan. Probably because I dyed my hair red for years.
What are your favorite television shows that you feel ended too soon?
Duh, Firefly. Sniff. And Farscape.
Who is your favorite super hero?
My dog.
If you were to have dinner with 5 people living or dead, who are they and what would you serve?
Joss Whedon, Mary McDonnell (I've interviewed them both and I hate that it was only for a few minutes.), Marion Zimmer Bradley, Mitch Hedberg and Tolkein.
What fictional character do you identify most with?
Used to be Menolly from Dragonsinger when I was a kid. Now it's Lessa from Dragonflight. What? I like dragons.
What 5 movies could you watch again and again?
Princess Bride, Lion in Winter, Lady Jane, Star Wars and Serenity.
What book or author do you regularly recommend?
Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley
What are your favorite web sites?
JoBlo , SCI FI Wire, Chud, GameFaqs, Wowwiki
What are you most looking forward to geeking out over in the coming year?
I could mention a ton of movies, but what I really, really want is the Alienware curved monitor.
