This debut feature from Eskeland is a lean, mean film that accomplishes in 78 minutes exactly what it sets out to do. Marte Cristensen turns in a well-honed performance with consistently believable and resourceful character actions. There are several predictable punctuated scares for the audience, but the voyeuristic shots through the automated cameras strangely and successfully give the film room to breathe. Production values are solid across the board, and work well in the expansive forest setting. It will be interesting to see what Eskeland makes next, with hopefully even more resources at his disposal.
