Looks as bad if not worse than their "re-imagining" of Flash Gordon. They have got to start hiring people who care about the source material. a.) younger viewers are going to look at this and not be impressed. b.) older viewers are going to see their beloved Phantom pissed on by people with more money than good sense. Hey SyFy... another swing and another miss--but I guess you're used to that by now, huh?
Addendum: It wouldn't be hard to make a new Phantom relevant and modern while keeping to the original spirit. Piracy is back in the headlines--especially down around the African coast. The Phantom is the sworn enemy of pirates. How hard is that to put together? Someone get me a crayon. I've got a script to write and send in.
