WATCH - The Astonishing X-Men #1 Motion Comic by Joss Whedon and John Cassaday

I'm still not sure what I think of the "motion comic", as it really doesn't replicate the experience. Neither does reading the comic "digitally" by just scanning the book in with pop up panels for easier reading.

Actually, the bootleg widescreen adaptations that I've come across as .cbr files (most notably The Walking Dead and Old Man Logan) are really interesting and I think would provide an interesting model if the major companies were bold enough to adapt the format. It's the kind of thing I'd be much more apt to download for a dollar than the motion adaptations.

Nevertheless, here is part one of The Astonishing X-Men: Gifted by Whedon and Cassaday.
