CONTEST!!! Win FIREFLY: STILL FLYING Book!

Before the smash hit movie Serenity came Firefly, the cult TV series which started it all and became a DVD phenomenon, selling almost half a million copies.

Set 500 years in the future, Firefly centres around Mal Reynolds, captain of the ship-for-hire Serenity and its eclectic crew of galactic misfits. When he takes on two passengers, a young doctor and his mysterious, telepathic sister, he gets much more than he bargained for…

This third official companion in the much-loved series is packed with unseen photos, costume designs, behind the scenes secrets and much more.

Sure, that's reason enough to want to win this book, but I'll let you in on another.

It's a great book.

So, great in fact, that you would be foolish not to enter to win one of the 3 copies provided to us by our friends at Titan Books

Details how to enter and some of my thoughts regarding the book, after the jump!

The book is unlike the previous volumes, having already covered the series episodes. Instead, this book focueses on both the behind the scene memories of cast and crew, as well as fan recollections. In addition, it's filled with designs of costumes, sets, storyboards and various production artwork. A long diatribe of a kidnapping scandal led by series star Nathan Fillion is also revealed.

Still not the best part.

Want to find out what happened to the statue from Jayne Town?

Awesome. But still not the best part.

The best part of the book are the three new short stories by series writers (“What Holds Us Down” by Jane Espenson, “Crystal” by Brett Matthews, and “Take The Sky” by Jose Molina), and a far too brief illustrated story by Ben Edland called “Fun With Dick And Jayne”.

So, how do you get this Must Have?

Simple. To enter, please send an email with the subject header "Firefly" to geekcontest @ gmail dot com and answer the following question:

What Castle star played Captain Mal Reynolds
on Firefly and in the film Serenity?

Please include your name and address (Open to U.S. Residents only)

Only one entry per person. You must be 18 years old and a U.S. Resident. Winner will be chosen at random. Contest ends at 11:59 PM EST on June 13, 2010.
