Former Smallville showrunners, Miles Millar and Alfred Gough have signed to write an adaptation of Monster High, a tween horror musical based on a new Mattel property.

That's right folks. Another doll movie.

According to Heat Vision the film project is the result of the toy company's first in-house created brand. A brand which includes books, webisodes, animation, toys, apparel, accessories and of course a live action movie.

As for the story?
"The monster musical is set at "frighteningly fashionable" Monster High and features the spawn of famous monsters including Dracula, Frankenstein and the Wolfman undergoing the trials and tribulations of high school."
The film will be produced by Neil Meron, Craig Zadan, composer Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, who plan to create a musical that's a combination of Beetlejuice and The Addams Family.

Among Millar and Gough's work are the screenplays for wrote Spider-Man 2, Lethal Weapon 4, Shanghai Noon, Shanghai Knights and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.
