I don't know if the folks at Nintendo have been reading my diary or what, but as soon as they announced that they were re-booting the hallowed game of GoldenEye at this year's E3, I burst into tears of joy and promised to be a very, very good girl.
The release date is said to be November so, if anyone is looking to buy me a gift this holiday season that will more than likely get you some, then by all means, BUY THIS FOR ME.
Okay, now that, that is out of my system let's move on to the details.
First off, Pierce Brosnan is not in the game, Daniel Craig is. For those purists out there (of which I am one) this may take a bit of getting used to, but have no fear, it's going to be okay. The guys who made the killer-awesome game, Dead Space Extraction are behind GoldenEye so you know it'll be wicked fun.
Second, the entire environment in the game is completely destructible, meaning you can't just stay behind a soda can while the bad guys shoot at you for ten minutes. You have to be stealthy and smart.
Third, the multi-player action is intense. Seriously, intense. Split screens, up-close kills, and an online-mode that will get you a bunch of extra points and unlockable goodies.
Fourth, classic characters such as Jaws and Odd Job have been added for your hat flicking pleasure while both Dame Judi Dench and Daniel Craig have lent their vocal talents to Bond and M.
Oh, and, by the way, The Golden Gun mode has been left intact. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I know, I know...but remember, this is how people reacted when Timothy Dalton replaced Roger Moore...we can live through this.
