RUSSELL CROWE To Play JOR-EL in SUPERMAN Reboot

Zack Snyder’s upcoming Superman: Man of Steel has cast Russell Crowe in the part made famous by Marlon Brando in Richard Donner’s 1978 Superman: The Movie.

There have been a number of actors rumored to be attached to the role of Superman’s Kryptonian father including Jon Hamm, Daniel Day Lewis, Sean Penn and Clive Owen.

Crowe joins a cast that includes Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, Diane Lane as Martha Kent and Michael Shannon as General Zod.

The screenplay was written by David S. Goyer and the plot continues to be under wraps.
