A few bits of minor TV casting news for you todays, here's a preview.

Todays news has two women that have lost their husbands in the drama pilot Widow Detective. Mindy Kaling and Ed Helms will be working together again soon, this time with Bill Hader. And finally Maggie Grace will have a recurring role in a new Fox drama pilot. Get more detail right after the break.

EW reports that Maggie Grace, possibly best known for her time on Lost, is the latest actor to join the untitled Fox drama from Kevin Williamson. In the series James Purefoy plays a serial killer who uses the little technology he has to create a whole cult that listen to his every word and will even kill for him. Kevin Bacon will play the FBI profiler that is hunting him down. Grace will have the role of playing the only survivor of the killer. Natalie Zea and Jeananne Goossen have been previously cast in the pilot.

EW also had the scoop that Ed Helms and Bill Hader will be joining the cast of Mindy Kalins untitled comedy pilot that she is writing and also starring in. Helms will play a possible love interest while Hader will take the role of an ex-boyfriend who still works next to her as an OB/GYN

According to TVline, Jennifer Beals and Paula Marshall have joined the cast of Widow Detective at CBS. The two will star opposite John Corbett who plays a police officer that lost three separate partners in the line of duty. For the families of those men he becomes a surrogate husband, lover, and father. Beals will play a widow that knowns Corbett's character the best of them all, Marshall's character is a mother of three that first choses to go without his help but then slowly accepts that she can't do it on her own.
