Loyal Order of Dinosaurs

Students of conspiracy theory will often track modern secret societies such as the Freemasons back to the formation of the Bavarian Illuminati in 1776 by Adam Weishaupt.

From there it is a long but speculative jump back through the Middle Ages and the Priory de Sion and into the ancient wisdom cults of Greece and Egypt.

But I wonder if it is possible to go back even further, before the Egyptians and the Greeks, before the Sumerians, the Cimmerians and even before the Goddess Cults suggested by the researches of Graves and Auel.

In short, I wondered if it was possible to get back into the times of the cavemen, One Million BC, towards the very first secret society, the Loyal Order of the Dinosaurs.

At a neolithic site, the first evidence of a Stone Age lodge that served as the ancient precursor to all secret societies on Earth was discovered.

To the surprise of the excavators these ancient peoples used English style lettering in their writing, instead of the cuneiform stylus impressions of the later Sumerians.

At some point the Loyal Order of Dinosaurs, enacted a change in name and ritual, re-organizing themselves into the Loyal Order of the Water Buffalo. Little is known about the secret rituals, power and influence of this group.

We know that the leader of the lodge was known as the Grand Poobah, and that the secret password was “ak ak a-dak.”

Below check out an animated depiction of an actual meeting, reconstructed from Paleolithic paintings and meeting documents chronicled on stone tablets.

We know that the title of Grand Poobah was revealed by Gilbert and Sullivan in The Mikado as being a title of great and mysterious importance. The title was also used in the 1950’s by a group known as the Loyal Order of the Leopards (The last known Leopard Lodge was number 462 in Milwaukee, now closed.)

Today the power of groups such as the Freemasons, the Templars and the Knights of Columbus has vastly diminished, but we can see the lingering influences of this most ancient of mystery cults on the way the are run, even today.

How fascinating is history?
