In 1998 The Hoff portrayed Nick Fury in the television movie Nick Fury: Agent of Sheild and to this day he still considers himself the ultimate Mr. Eye Patch.
In an interview, The Hoffmeister General explained why he believed his take on Fury is far more intriguing than that of Samuel L. Jackson's "...I didn't see The Avengers yet...I love Sam Jackson, but you know ... my Nick Fury was the organic Nick Fury that was written and discussed with Stan Lee before anyone got in there to change it. Nick Fury was written to be tongue-in-cheek, and he had a cigar in his mouth, he was a tough guy—he was cool." [MovieLine].
Mr. Hoff N' Brau also claims that he was told he was going to be in The Avengers but was lied to as usual.
