Sons Of Anarchy Prequel, Michael Bay Boards THE LAST SHIP & More

Mark Consuelos will appear in the second season of the Ryan Murphy/Brad Falchuk series, American Horror Story in a recurring role playing a a patient at this season's setting, an East Coast asylum for the criminally insane.  He'll be appearing alongside returning cast members (all in new roles) Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and Lily Rabe and new cast members Chris Zylka, Joseph Fiennes, Chloe Sevigny, Adam Levine and James Cromwell.

CBS and Fox are trying to secure a ninth season of How I Met Your Mother which benefited from rejuvenated ratings boost last year.  Renewing the series early would allow producers Carter Bays and Craig Thomas to stretch out the revelation of character Ted Moseby's future bride.  Contracts would also need to be renegotiated for cast members Jason Segel, Neil Patrick Harris, Josh Radnor, Cobie Smulders and Alyson Hannigan, all of whom have thriving careers outside of the series.

Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter confirmed at Comic-Con that he would, “love to do a prequel about the formation of the club” and also teased the new season beginning in September.

MTV has also previewed a first look at the American adaptation of the British series, The Inbetweeners.
