Fast and Furious 6 has another bad guy. The Raid‘s Joe Taslim will play the villainous role of Jah, “a cold-blooded killer who
uses his martial arts and parkour skills to fight the pic’s protags, led
by Paul Walker and Vin Diesel.” The Justin Lin film also stars Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Gina Carano Michelle Rodriguez and Luke Evans.
John Goodman and Eric Andre have joined the cast of Shawn Levy‘s The Internship. “Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson star as old school salesmen who, finding
themselves suddenly unemployed and passed-by in the digital world, try
to reinvent themselves by becoming interns at a major tech company
despite knowing little about technology.” Goodman will cameo as Vaughn and Wilson’s ultimate boss and Andre will play a mentor to the duo. The film also stars Max Minghella, Rose Byrne, Dylan O’Brien, JoAnna Garcia, Josh Brener, Tiya Sircar and Tobit Raphael.
Greg Mottola‘s improv heavy film starring Larry David, Michael Keaton and Jon Hamm will now premiere on HBO rather than a theatrical release. The project, which will utilize a structure to improvise around instead of a more traditional screenplay, will be written by Alec Berg, David Mandel and Jeff Schaffer.
Mark Wahlberg and Liam Neeson might star as Case and Armitage respectively in director Vicenzo Natali’s long-gestating adaptation of Neuromancer,
based on the William Gibson cyberpunk culr classic.
Rosie Perez has joined the cast of Ridley Scott‘s The Counselor, about a lawyer who attempts to get into the drug business. Also starring in the film, which features a script by Cormac McCathy, and a cast that includes Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz, Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz.
Oscar winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black is writing Earthquake, an epic disaster film for Universal and producers JJ Abrams and Bryan Burk.
Rachel Nichols will co-star opposite Justin Long in Tom Holland‘s adaptation of Stephen King‘s Ten O’Clock people. “The story centers on a man who, when attempting to kick his smoking
habit, has his eyes opened to a frightening reality in which many people
in authority are monsters. He joins a group of others like him called
the Ten O’Clock People.”
