FRINGE Creators Working On SLEEPY HOLLOW Series At Fox
Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are known as the super writing team that has worked on Fringe, Alias, the new Star Trek films, and Hawaii Five-O. Now they have a new production company called K/O and have received their first pilot commitment for a project centered around the legend of Sleepy Hollow. The dram project saw interest from multiple networks though Fox was ultimately the one to land the deal with Len Wiseman, Underworld director attached. Kurtzman and Orci will write with Phillip Iscove who had the original idea for the project. The story is said to be a modern-day supernatural thriller that follows Ichabod Crane and a female sheriff as they try to solve the mysteries of the town.
JACK COLEMAN Comes To CASTLE
Castle is getting a Heroes alum with Jack Coleman joining the cast to play a new antagonist who is said to be a "well-liked U.S. senator who finds himself in conflict" with Stana Katic's Becket. The show is headed into it's fifth season.
PBS, KEN BURNS, And MERYL STREEP Team Up For THE ROOSEVELTS
PBS is bringing a presidential family to TV with the announcement of The Roosevelts: An Intimate History. Ken Burns is producing the 14-hour documentary that will focus on Theodore, Franklin, and Eleanor Roosevelt and tie all of their stories together. Burns will direct with a script from Geoffrey Ward. Meryl Streep will be narrating for Eleanor Roosevelt and bringing Eleanor's personal letters and writings from page to screen. Paul Giamatti will protray Theodore Roosevelt while Edward Herrmann will be Franklin Roosevelt. Herrmann has actually already been seen as FDR in Eleanor and Franklin. Other big names in the cast include Ed Harris, John Lithgow, Billy Bob Thornton, Eli Wallach, Kevin Conway, Keith Carradine, and Patricia Clarkson.
JOHN MCCAIN And BARBARA BOXER Will Guest On PARKS & REC
We've known that Parks and Recreation was headed to Washington D.C. and today we are getting an idea of some of the names that they will have guest starring on the show. In the episode Senators John McCain, Olympia Snowe, and Barbara Boxer will be seen when Leslie Knope heads to D.C. to figure out if she wants to go to "the next level of American politics."
IWAN RHEON Will Play The GAMES OF THRONES
Game of Thrones is not even taking a break as casting for the third season has already started. The addition of Iwan Rheon is the first new member of the growing cast. Although there's been no official announcement yet,some think that he could pick up the part of Ramsay Snow, The Bastard of Bolton. Rheon is best known for his role in the British series Misfits
The New Trailer For Nickelodeon's TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES
The heroes in a half shell are almost back and Nickelodeon is pushing out some new promos for the latest CGI version of the TMNT. The show is billed as being "Funnier and with more Ninjutsu than ever before." It's set to premiere on September 29th.
Lifetime Picks WITCHES OF EAST END And SECRET LIVES OF WIVES
Lifetime is getting more into the scripted series biz with order of pilots for two series, The Secret Lives of Wives and Witches of East End. Secret Lives is based on Iris Krasnow's book and follows "four marriages and how the women in those relationships deal with others. Witches is based on Melizza de la Cruz's novel and revolves around a mother and two daughters who are all witches.
ADAM BALDWIN Will Solve All The Crimes in LAW & ORDER: SVU
Known for his roles on Chuck and Firefly, Adam Baldwin is taking on a slightly different role of Captain Steven Harris, the interim captain for the squad. He will be seen in the first three episodes of the show and it's said that he doesn't really get along well with the rest of the team. The show will return on September 26th with a special 2 hour premiere.
