Winner of the Sundance Best Director prize, Middle of Nowhere has a trailer today. Starring Emayatzy Corinealdi, David Oyelowo, Omari Hardwick, Lorraine Touissaint, Edwina Findley and Sharon Lawrence, the film was written and directed by Ava DuVerney. The story follows Corinealdi's character, the wife of a new prison inmate. She drops out of med school to make the four-hour drive every visiting day and be home for when he's allowed to call. She puts all her effort into keeping Derek moderately happy and is always looking for an early parole.
