ANDY WARHOL-INSPIRED CAMPBELL SOUP CANS Are Going To Be Available For Purchase At Target...College Freshman Excited to Show Off Their Art Knowledge.
Starting this Sunday Target will be selling a line of Warhol-inspired Campbell Soups for about $.75 a pop that will try and re-energize a brand that is synonymous with poverty and a horrible palate.
While the old tried and true Tomato Soup can will be sporting a new cooler label for a short time, Campbell realizes that if they want to truly succeed in the tough soup business they are going to have to go after a particular market of customers that love irony...The Hipsters.
So, naturally the "Hipster" soup products, featuring flavors like coconut chicken curry and creamy red pepper with smoked gouda, will be targeted to Dorm-room dwellers and packaged in microwave-ready pouches for easy dispersal.
These "flavors" should be coming out in the near future regardless of how the rest of the world feels about it.
I guess kids born in the frakking '90s are too cool to live off of Ramen and store-brand white bread for four + years.
Whatever.
