Like any good nerd I played the flute in band, only I was seriously terrible at it. In fact, I was so horrific that my teacher asked me to leave due to my inability to blow into the flute opening correctly (sigh).
But I'm pretty sure had I switched to violin and came to class with one of these Stratton Skull 5-string Electric Violins, things would have been a lot different (I still would have sucked but at least the teacher would have been too scared to kick me out).
So, if your young one is playing around with the idea of picking up an instrument this school year, maybe you could be a decent parent and steer them toward this $2999 beauty that will intimidate the hell out of the other "musicians".
Sure, it's expensive but just think how cool it will look hanging on your wall after they get tired of it in three months.
Really, its a win-win situation for everyone.
