HOW TO TURN YOUR OPEN OFFICE SPREADSHEET Into A Musical Wonderland

I hate the banality of entering stuff on the digital conveyer belt of boredom known as the spreadsheet more than anything on the planet.

In fact, if I were given a choice to enter data into mathematically calculated cells or to hack off my lips with a rusty butter knife, I'd live without lips and look as though I am always manically smiling.

That's how much I frakking hate spreadsheets.

But the video below might be a beacon of light to all those people who have to use a spreadsheet program on a daily basis and are thinking of killing themselves.

Here we have a guy known as Mystery Guitar Man doing something in Open Office/Excel that I have never seen before...making it bearable.

According to Tecca, here's how it was accomplished..."MGM filmed his performance and then applied a pixelated effect to it on the computer. Then, he created a spreadsheet made up of hundred of square data cells to represent the pixels in the video and filled them in using the appropriate colors. It's not clear, however, if he (or someone else) made each frame individually or somehow automated the process. The entire video is comprised of more than 700 frames and evidently took almost five hours to complete."

Hope springs eternal people, I'm expecting to see many more spreadsheet-based animations clogging up the workstations of office drones everywhere.
