THE BAT-SIGNAL MADE FROM STRING AND NAILS: I'm So Glad the 70s Can Live Again!

Back in the day when cable was just a wet dream in the flaccid penis of Cinemax, people had to entertain themselves in ways that today seems like a lot of work with very little payoff (think: macrame).

And one of those time-sucks was string art. Sure, the Bat-Signal above is really cool and artist Stephen Ball did an excellent job of re-creating it, but for those of us that spent our formative years in the late-sixties to the mid-seventies, string art is a depressing reminder of the arts and crafts that we were forced to participate in regardless if we thought it was stupid.

But back to the string art before us:

Yes, it's magnificent and I'm sure it would look awesome in your house, so if you want one you can easily make it with nails and string and the patience of a saint. Just YouTube string art videos and start practicing.

I can't wait for this craft to become as hipster-friendly and the felted mustache has been.
