When The Cosby Show first aired back in 1984 I was in love with it and that love affair continued for about six years until they introduced the annoying characters of Pam and Olivia (which caused me to wish for a Huxtable divorce and subsequent family violence).
Why the American television Powers-that-Be allow a once beloved show to die a slow, horrible death is beyond me, but I can assure you that the last couple years of The Cosby Show were painful in a way that is similar to watching the reboot of Beverly Hills 90210 without being heavily medicated first.
And, in the video below, The Old Huxtables learn the depth of that pain by watching their later years on TV and trembling before that knowledge.
It is probably a lesson that the producers of The Office should have been taught two years ago.
