THE HORRORS OF ROOM N135: How Do You Entice People In Joining Your High School Anime Club? By Not Doing This

Hello kids who have an obscene love affair with Anime,

I'm so excited that you are into Anime...no, seriously, I really am, and I'm super happy that you have started a club in order to worship your obsessions.

Just one word of advice, if you are looking to get people as excited as you are about big-eyed cartoons that have vague sexual undertones, then please, under no circumstances, create a video like this:

By avoiding this, there's a good chance you might actually get members.

Thank you.

pretty easy to make fun of the "weird" kids in high school huh? isn't it ok to just be a different, odd kid sometimes?
i'm not trying to get on my white knight high horse and im not trying to start a flame war or even to berate or belittle the author of the piece. It's just, come on. That's like making fun of someone who's out of shape and doing cosplay. let people have their worlds, let the jocks and jerks point fingers. It's kind of sad when people within the geek community single out it's younger members for doing something that EVERY adult geek is guilty of, which is being an awkward, weird teenager.

Bob, As a former member of geek clubs in high school (Shout out to the D&D crew of '92!) who was also the weird chubby chick who dressed in black and decorated her t-shirts with bleach and stencils, I wasn't belittling the kids in the video so much as I was enjoying their nerdiness.

Let's face it, the video was a bit odd and it was done in the hopes of recruiting members for their club and the kids looked so uncomfortable that it was laughable.

As an old nerd I often look back at pictures of myself and wonder what the hell I was I thinking and then I remember I was thinking how awesome it would be to steal the Crown Royal bag from my dad so I could use it to hold my multi-sided dice collection.

What a dork.
