So this weekend as I was laid up in bed with a flare-up of spinal arthritis, I decided to break out an old mix-tape that a friend made me back in 1987 which featured songs from the Pac-Man Fever album by Buckner and Garcia.
As I listened to my old favorite Do the Donkey Kong (which is fabulous, I must say) I wondered if perhaps I should spend some time searching out other songs that were inspired by the video game genre and maybe write an in-depth piece about them.
Needless to say, I fell asleep before I could type in "YouTube" due to the fact that I had about six thousand grams of painkiller running through my veins.
To my editor-in-chief, I'm sorry. It was a great idea cut short by an addiction in Oxycontin.
