ABC

Conviction

LOGLINE: Hayes Morrison (Hayley Atwell), the brilliant but ne’er-do-well daughter of a former president, is blackmailed into taking a job as the head of Los Angeles’ newly created Conviction Integrity Unit. She and her team of lawyers, investigators and forensic experts work to examine cases where there’s credible suspicion that the wrong person might have been convicted of a crime.

Downward Dog

LOGLINE: Based on the web series of the same name, centers on a woman, Nan (Allison Tolman) and her dog, Martin. The twist is that it features a Modern Family-style confessional device — for the dog.

Also stars Lucas Neff as Jason, Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Jenn, Barry Rothbart as Kevin and Mo Collins as Kim. Samm Hodges is the voice of Martin.

Notorious

LOGLINE: Inspired by the true-life stories of famed criminal defense attorney Mark Geragos and cable news producer Wendy Walker, the series is a provocative look at the unique, sexy, and dangerous interplay of criminal law and the media.

Speechless

LOGLINE: A family led by Maya DiMeo (Minnie Driver) with a special-needs child is good at dealing with the challenges it faces and excellent at creating new ones.

LOGLINE: Based on the book by Melinda Taub and set in 16th century Verona, it picks up where William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet left off, charting the treachery, palace intrigue and ill-fated romances of the Montagues and Capulets in the wake of the young lovers’ tragic fate.

LOGLINE: Based on the novel by Karl Alexander and movie adapted by Nicholas Meyer, Time After Time delivers a fantastical cat-and-mouse adventure through time when famed science fiction writer H.G. Wells is transported to modern-day Manhattan in pursuit of Jack the Ripper. Once H.G. arrives in New York City, he finds a world he never thought possible and a young woman who captivates him.

Stars Freddie Stroma as H.G. Wells, Josh Bowman as John Stevenson/Jack the Ripper, Genesis Rodriguez as Jane and Regina Taylor as Vanessa Anders.

Imaginary Mary

LOGLINE: Centers on a 30-something bachelorette Alice (Jenna Elfman), whose life is turned upside down when she finally meets the love of her life — a divorced father with three kids. This triggers even more upheaval when the slightly unhinged imaginary friend she created as an only child suddenly reappears in her life to help her navigate the transition from single girl to a woman ready for a family.

Also stars Stephen Schneider as Ben, Nicholas Coombe as Andy, Matreya Scarrwener as Dora, Erica Tremblay as Bunny and Rachel Dratch as the voice of the imaginary friend.

CBS

Bull

LOGLINE: Michael Weatherly stars as Dr. Jason Bull, based on the early career of Dr. Phil McGraw during his days as head of one of the most prolific trial consulting services of all time.

Also stars Annabelle Attanasio as Cable McCrory, Christopher Jackson as Chunk Palmer, Freddy Rodriguez as Benny Colón, Geneva Carr as Marissa Morgan and Jaime Lee Kirchner as Danny James.

The Great Indoors

LOGLINE: An adventure reporter (Joel McHale) must adapt to the times when he becomes the boss to a group of millennials in the digital department of the magazine.

Also stars Chris Williams as Eddie, Christine Ko as Emma, Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Clark, Shaun Brown as Mason, Stephen Fry as Roland and Susannah Fielding as Brooke.

Man With a Plan

LOGLINE: A contractor (Matt LeBlanc) learns that raising his kids is more challenging than expected when his wife (Jenna Fischer) goes back to work.

Also stars Grace Kaufman as Kate, Hala Finley as Emme, Jessica Chaffin as Marie, Matt Cook as Lowell and Matthew McCann as Teddy.

MacGyver

LOGLINE: A reimagining of the television series of the same name, following a 20-something MacGyver (Lucas Till) as he gets recruited into a clandestine organization where he uses his knack for solving problems in unconventional ways to help prevent disasters from happening.

Also stars George Eads as Lincoln, Addison Timlin as Mickey, Joshua Boone as Gunner and Michelle Krusiec as Agent Croix.

Pure Genius

Logline: A young Silicon Valley tech titan (Augustus Prew) enlists a veteran surgeon (Dermot Mulroney) with a controversial past in starting a hospital with a cutting-edge, “new school” approach to medicine.

Also stars Aaron Jennings as Malik Verlaine, Brenda Song as Angie Cheng, Odette Annable as Zoe Brockett, Reshma Shetty as Talaikha Channarayapatra and Ward Horton as Scott Strauss.

Training Day

LOGLINE: Described as a reimagining that begins 15 years after the 2001 film left off, the reboot centers on an idealistic young African-American police officer (Justin Cornwell), who is appointed to an elite squad of the LAPD where he is partnered with a seasoned, morally ambiguous detective (Bill Paxton).

Also stars Drew Van Acker as Tommy Campbell, Julie Benz as Holly Butler, Katrina Law as Rebecca Lee, Lex Scott Davis as Alyse Arrendondo and Marianne Jean-Baptiste as Joy Lockhart.

Kevin Can Wait

LOGLINE: A newly retired police officer (Kevin James) looks forward to spending more quality time with his wife (Erinn Hayes)and three kids, but figures out he faces more challenges at home than he ever did on the streets.

LOGLINE: A smart, chic, successful defense lawyer at a boutique firm starts to fall for her charismatic client who may or may not be guilty of a brutal crime.

Frequency

LOGLINE: In this reimagining of the New Line Cinema film, a female police detective (Peyton List) in 2016 discovers she is able to speak via a ham radio with her estranged detective father who died in 1996 (Riley Smith). They forge a new relationship while working together on an unresolved murder case, but unintended consequences of the “butterfly effect” wreak havoc in the present day.

Also stars Anthony Ruivivar as Stan Hope, Daniel Bonjour as Daniel Badour, Devin Kelley as Julie Sullivan, Lenny Jacobson as Gordo and Mekhi Phifer as Satch DeLeon.

LOGLINE: When a risk-averse, straight arrow, female procurement manager (Tori Anderson) at an Amazon-like distribution center falls in love with a freewheeling man who lives life to the fullest because he believes the apocalypse is imminent, to comedic and poignant results they embark on a quest together to fulfill their individual bucket lists. Based on the Brazilian format.

LOGLINE: Set in present day and based on the iconic Archie Comics characters, Riverdale is a surprising and subversive take on Archie (KJ Apa), Betty, Veronica, Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse), Josie and their friends, exploring the surrealism of small town life — the darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath Riverdale’s wholesome facade.

There, he gets partnered with LAPD detective Roger Murtaugh (Damon Wayans Sr.) who, having recently suffered a “minor” heart attack, must avoid any stress in his life. Based on the movie franchise.

Making History

LOGLINE: Centers on three unlikely friends find an even less likely way to travel through time, irreversibly complicating their personal lives in 2016, as the great moments of the past collide with today’s popular culture — with hilarious and quite disastrous results.
