The second part of the startling storyline where Nightwing has to enlist into this crazy race is here!
He’s doing it to help a friend live and man, Dick had to be a really great friend to take part in this race. Benjamin Percy writes another fine issue here and it’s as exciting as can be.
The issue opens with Nightwing thinking he is being attacked by the Silencer. It turns out that he is not. She has actually appeared to help him. She’s stuck in this place as well and is trying to get out. She figures that maybe they can help each other to get out of this hellhole.
So off these two go!
They jump back into the nutty race. The Silencer drives. Nightwing eventually gets another vehicle. It’s all very action packed. And it’s compelling. Percy keeps the action flowing and also makes it insanely fun. He also gives us some great dialogue.
Eventually, the race reaches a crescendo.
Dick and The Silencer find a place that is off road. They go through a cave. And then its there that they meet Cimialcinnus, the Celtic god of paths. He shows the pair the way out, meaning back to their dimension. He gives Nightwing a warning. That warning will play out in the coming issues it seems. It’s all very ominous and cool.
Percy ends the book on a mysterious note that just made me want more. I’m loving what he is doing with this. It’s a well written story.
The art by Amancay Nahuelpan is wonderful for this story too. The art moves fast and it features some amazing storytelling. The pair has put together an incredible issue.
This is another great Nightwing book in Percy’s run on the title thus far.
