I wanted to be obsessed with Disney. I always thought a girl should adore cartoons and fairies and Miney Mouse or Daisy Duck. I geuss I felt obligated to be a consumer. I definitely knew that loving cartoons and getting souvenirs made people happier than I was, but I could never really get into it.

But I did love Disneyland. Though Mister Toad's Wild Ride scared me half to death when we went to hell.
