WHEN WERNER HERZOG SAVED JOAQUIN PHOENIX: The Animated Tale

Last January Phoenix wrecked his car and was pulled to safety by German cult film director Werner Herzog.

If this doesn’t odd enough, the tale was recently animated and the resulting video was put on YouTube to be enjoyed by the masses.

The tale is surreal (and made even more so since Werner Herzog is narrating it) and is strangely beautiful in a trippy way that will leave you wondering if someone spiked your Yoo-Hoo.

To say anymore would ruin it.
