I haven’t been online for a few days now so that I could blissfully remain unaware of anything going on in the universe (It was a little present to myself) but if I had seen this Gingerbread ode to the greatest television series ever made before Xmas, I might have enjoyed the holidays a bit more.
You see, I loved Firefly with the same passion I usually reserved for Bong making and mix tapes, and its demise made my heart hurt. So naturally, anything having to do with the Joss Whedon masterpiece rates high on my worship meter.
Besides, once you finish crafting the ship, you can scarf it down and injest its soul, thus making you one with Nathan Fillion.
Which is really what the holidays should be about…eating people’s souls.
So many thanks to Kristogger Gressli, the creator of the Gingerbread Serenity, for making me excited about molasses-tainted baked goods (click here to see step-by-step photos of his creation).
I look forward to building this next year.
