Hi, what are you looking for?

Have you ever noticed that in a majority of movies, when characters end a conversation on the phone, they merely hang up?

No Good-Bye, no See Ya Later, Not even a F*ck Off.

Just the end of a sentence and BAM! the receiver is back in the cradle.

I’ve only attempted this once in my life (because, lets face it, the human need for closure makes saying farewell on the phone a necessity-however, if you are in a fight, it is perfectly reasonable, nay satisfactory, to slam down the receiver) and I did it to my mother. Who, in return, called me back just to let me know that I was rude and disrespectful.

After the break is a compilation of Hollywood hang-ups that illustrate my point.

(are you happy now mom?)
