TWO AND A HALF MEN TO Return Without CHARLIE SHEEN (No Shit)

“Hey Dad, whatever happened to Uncle Charlie?”

Now speculated for a mid-season return, it looks like Two and a Half Men will return without series star Charlie Sheen.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, series co-creator Chuck Lorre “has hatched an idea to reboot the Warner Bros-produced sitcom with a new creative direction that does not involve Sheen, who was fired from the series in March.”

And Jon Cryer might be smiling.

According to the article, Cryer’s role would increase (and presumably his paycheck) as the reboot would also introduce a new character (yet to be cast).

As for Sheen, it looks like he might have pushed a little too far, announcing his desire to return to the series, despite suing Lorre and Warner Bros. for $100 million.   Sources indicate that both Lorre and Warner have little interest in inviting the the volatile actor back.

More to come as this saga continues.
