The following video is an interesting take on women in the fantasy genre (most notably, the lack of proper armor allowed to them) and I have to say, it’s pretty spot on.
Now, you can blame George Lucas (and I don’t see why you shouldn’t) for introducing the concept of the scantily clad warrior chick into the brain of every male born before 1980 (and yes, even those born after that can fall victim to the “Gold Bikini Syndrome” but it tends to affect those of my generation more thoroughly) but perhaps, we should all hope that one day, in the future, women of fantasy might be able to cover more than just their rack and hoo-ha with chain-mail.
I mean, seriously, people, nipples are not the only place a girl can get stabbed.
