Entertainment Weekly has three brand new stills from the production of the much anticipated, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, the first film in a two part film adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s classic book, The Hobbit.
The first pic is our first look of Martin Freeman (Hot Fuzz) as Bilbo Baggins, followed by a pic of Ian Mckellen (The Lord of the Rings, X-Men) as Gandalf, and another pic of Freeman, this time taking direction from director Peter Jackson.
The Hobbit is the prequel to The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Like the Rings films, it has quite the ensemble cast which includes: Martin Freeman (Bilbo Baggins), Hugo Weaving (Elrond), Cate Blanchett (Galadriel), Elijah Wood (Frodo), Orlando Bloom (Legolas), Luke Evans (Bard), Evangeline Lilly (Tauriel), Lee Pace (King Thranduil), Christopher Lee (Saruman), Stephen Fry (Master of Laketown), Andy Serkis (Gollum), and Ian Holm (Old Bilbo).
