HUNG®: The Complete Second Season

Exclusively on DVD and Blu-ray Disc from HBO Home Entertainment®
On September 27, 2011

DVD and BD Versions Packed with Bonus Content Including a Behind-the-Scenes Featurette, Deleted Scenes and Talent Commentaries
In its debut, Hung became a breakout hit and was declared “HBO’s best new comedy” by The New York Times.  The second season expertly built on this momentum “layering on even more heart, smarts and danger” (Red Eye), for a “fresher…more textured”(The Washington Post.com) making it one of the networks most watched shows.  Now fans can catch up when Hung: The Complete Second Season comes to stores on September 27, 2011.  The two-disc DVD and Blu-ray Disc sets include all 10 episodes and bonus materials for the suggested retail price of $39.98 and $49.99 respectively.
Hung follows the travails of Ray Drecker, a well-endowed former high school sports legend turned middle-aged high school basketball coach.  In this season, Ray, and his unlikely pimp Tanya, have taken on slick “life coach” Lenore Bernard as co-pimp, devastating Tanya in the process. With Lenore pushing a debonair version of hooker Ray on her upscale clients, Tanya wants to prove she has the “right stuff” when it comes to being a successful – and far more ethical – pimp than Lenore.  Meanwhile, Ray finds his feelings for his ex-wife Jessica rekindled.

Hung: The Complete Second Season on DVD and BD includes a host of entertaining bonus features including “Hung – Inside the Series” a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the second season, deleted scenes and five audio commentaries with series creators/executive producers Colette Burson and Dmitry Lipkin, co-executive producer/writer Angela Robinson and writers Brett C. Leonard, Julia Brownell and Kyle Peck.
The series stars Thomas Jane (The Punisher,*61 from HBO) as Ray Drecker and Jane Adams (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) as Tanya Skagle, both of whom received Golden Globe® nominations for their roles; Anne Heche (Men in Trees) as Ray’s ex-wife, Jessica Haxon; Eddie Jemison (Ocean’s Thirteen) as Jessica’s successful husband Ronnie; Sianoa Smit-McPhee (As the Bell Rings) as Ray’s daughter Darby; and Charlie Saxton (The Lovely Bones) as Ray’s son Damon.

Bored to Death®: The Complete Second Season
New Cases. No Clue.
DVD and Blu-ray Released Exclusively from HBO Home Entertainment®
on October 4, 2011

Based on the Semi-Autobiographical Musings of Eclectic Author Jonathan Ames,
DVD and BD Formats Include Hilarious, Never-Before-Seen Bonus Features

Praised as “another gem unearthed by HBO” (San Francisco Chronicle) and “flat-out inspired comedy” (The Wall Street Journal), the second season of Bored to Death keeps the laughs coming as Jonathan Ames, a noir fiction-obsessed writer who moonlights as a private eye, continues to deal with the mounting mishaps that befall his life.  Loaded with entertaining bonus features, both the 2-disc DVD and Blu-ray sets of Bored to Death: The Complete Second Season will be released on October 4, 2011, for the suggested retail price of $39.98 and $49.99 respectively.
This season, Ames (Jason Schwartzman) has recently finished his second novel (which remains unpublished) and decides to augment his meager income by becoming a creative-writing teacher, while also taking on new, even more desperate clients.  With his continuing misadventures alongside his henpecked friend Ray (Zach Galifianakis) and eccentric boss George (Ted Danson), how he solves anything is a mystery.
Bored to Death: The Complete Second Season on DVD and BD contain hysterical bonus materials that give viewers an in-depth behind-the-scenes look at Ames’s amusing and quirky world. Features include hilarious never-before-seen deleted scenes, outtakes, “Inside the Episodes” segments, and five audio commentaries featuring Schwartzman, Danson, writer/series creator Jonathan Ames, director Michael Lehmann and director/consulting producer Alan Taylor.

Guest stars this season include Emmy® nominee Kristen Wiig (Saturday Night Live), Emmy® nominee and Golden Globe® winner Kevin Bacon (HBO’s Taking Chance), Emmy® and Golden Globe® nominee Oliver Platt (Frost/Nixon), John Hodgman (The Daily Show) and Oscar® winner Olympia Dukakis (Moonstruck).
The Emmy® Award-winning series is the brainchild of Guggenheim Fellowship-winning author Jonathan Ames (The Double Life is Twice as Good), whose fascination with noir writers like Raymond Chandler and Dashiell Hammett led him to write a short story in 2007 that became the basis for the show. Ames also serves as executive producer and writer of the show.
