Hi, what are you looking for?

Okay, so I haven’t been this psyched for a book release since I stood in line for four hours to buy Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows (and no, I didn’t dress up either…although I was wearing HP underwear).

And why is it that I am super-excited to read this particular book? Well, here’s the reason:

It all waits to be discovered in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, an unforgettable novel that mixes fiction and photography in a thrilling reading experience. As our story opens, a horrific family tragedy sets sixteen-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children who once lived here—one of whom was his own grandfather— were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. They may have been quarantined on a desolate island for good reason. And somehow—impossible though it seems—they may still be alive. (Quirk)

How could you NOT get all freaked out over something so awesome?

And, if you need even more encouragement to spend money on a book, Quirk has released a creepy book trailer to whet your freaking literary appetite (which you can see after the break).

Oh, and guess what? Author Ransom Riggs has released the first three chapters for free (click HERE).

I don’t know what else I can do to get you all excited but come June 7th, I will be waiting next to my mailbox for my copy of the book and I swear to you right now, I will probably bum-rush the mailman and pry it out of his hands just so I can start reading it.

Video after the break.
