Hi, what are you looking for?

Big Bird wants us to strangle you in your sleep…

Children’s television, while great, can, at times, be a bit scary to sit through.  I remember babysitting a friend’s son during the Teletubbies fad and feeling nauseous as this three-year old that I was in charge of sat glassy-eyed in front of the TV nodding as if he were getting subliminal messages from the creatures he was watching.

And to be quite honest, I was pretty sure that those messages were about killing me with piano wire (needless to say, I never stayed the night there).

Having no kids of my own I’m not really “Up” with all the new shows but I’m guessing that the following video by the art group This Is It would fit in just fine considering it seems like it is teaching kids the importance of being creative (that is until everything shifts into pure nightmare fuel and you want to run screaming from the room).

Video (called Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared) after the break.
