LULU GAINSBOURG AND SCARLETT JOHANSSON SING ‘BONNIE & CLYDE’…Yeah, I’m a Bit Confused About It As Well.

Okay, so a bit of history:

The song Bonnie and Clyde was originally done by Lulu’s dad Serge and French actress Brigitte Bardot in 1968.

This particular version is on a tribute album to the late crooner and features Scarlett Johansson performing Bardot’s lines (although in English instead of French).

The question is: Why Scarlett? Okay, so she can occasionally sing well if you aren’t bothered by breathy notes coming out of a blow-job mouth but this is a terrible mess and is extremely painful to listen to.

But when I showed the following music video to my husband, he refuted my claim of horribleness and instead watched it about ten times then retreated to the bathroom where I didn’t see him again for about forty-five minutes.

Is it me? Am I not cool enough to get the song stylings of Miss Johanson? Is she really so great that, as a female, I am just too jealous to appreciate her talent?

I don’t get it.

Watch the video after the break and let me know.
