Machinima Launches New Original Series RCVR!

Machinima, the number one video entertainment brand for gamers around the world, has announced the launch of a new original series, “RCVR.”

The six episode sci-fi mystery series, written, directed and produced by noted digital entertainment creator David van Eyssen through his production company, Science To Fiction, will debut new episodes on Wednesdays and be exclusively sponsored by Motorola Mobility.  The announcement was made by Allen DeBevoise, Chairman and CEO of Machinima.

Set in 1973, RCVR follows a black-ops unit engaged in covering up extraterrestrial encounters and locating individuals (RCVRs) who possess startling information communicated to them by alien beings. The first season, based on alleged true events, takes place in rural Arkansas.

According to the press release the series will last six episodes on Machinima, and the audience experience will further expand with seeded websites that exist both within the show and in reality, and viral videos, giving the viewer active participation in the mystery and a deeper connection between historical events and the  RCVR mythology.
