Taiwanese Supernatural Thriller SILK Being Adapted For US

An adaptation of the Taiwanese thriller Silk is being made for the American market.

According to The Hollywood Reporter Marko King, Mary King, and Jonathan Watters have been hired by Gold Circle Films to create the supernatural thriller adaptation

Silk is a 2006 movie about “scientists who capture the ghost of a child in an apartment and the detective charged with discovering clues to the ghost’s identity”

King, King and Watters wrote the screenplay for Frankie & Alice that stared Halle Berry. The movie earned Berry a Golden Globe nomination and the writers and Image Award nomination.

The film is reportedly a re-conceiving of the original and will not have the same plot as the original. The production company Gold Circle is keeping the story secret though it is being described as “Michael Crichton meets The Sixth Sense.”
