The missing piece to the casting of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s comeback film Last Stand has been filled.

Variety is reporting that Eduardo Noriega (who can currently be seen opposite Sam Shepard in Blackthorne)) has been hired to play the baddie who will stand off against Arnie in Last Stand.

South Korean director Kim Jee-Woon (The Good, The Bad, and The Weird, I saw the Devil) will direct the film which will find Schwarzenegger playing a small town sheriff who runs up against an escaped drug cartel leader heading for the Mexican border.

Noriega will play Cortez, the ruthless fugitive who is heading for Mexico with $400 million.

The film also stars Rodringo Santoro (Rio, Heleno) Zack Gilford (Super, Friday night Lights), and Jaimie Alexander (Thor, the upcoming Loosies) as deputys under Schwarzenegger’s command who will team up against Peter Stormare (Constantine, Fargo) playing Cortez’s right hand man.

Last Stand will hit theaters on January 18, 2013.
