Hi, what are you looking for?

According to Deadline, Warren Beatty has hired Felicity Jones (Like Crazy, The Tempest) to play the female lead in his long-gestating Howard Hughes project.

The untitled film is still rounding up money with New Regency stepping in to co-finance after Paramount dropped out. No matter, Beatty has already begun casting and he met with many young actresses before hiring Jones.

Jones has received tremendous reviews for her role in the Sundance Film Festival hit Like Crazy, in which she stars opposite Anton Yelchin (Star Trek, Fright Night). Currently, Like Crazy is slowly being rolled out to theaters across the country by Paramount Vantage.

Jones will play a young woman who develops a relationship with Hughes’s young driver and confidante, before she falls in love with Hughes.

Rumor has it that Beatty is narrowing down his choices to play the young male lead, with Justin Timberlake (In Time, The Social Network) and Alden Ehrenrich (Tetro, Twixt) supposedly in the mix. Beatty may also have roles for Jack Nicholson, Annette Bening, Alec Baldwin, and Owen Wilson.

Besides writing the script and directing the film, Beatty will also play Hughes.
