Twitch reports that Radcliffe told French press that it was “very likely” he would soon be playing the role for a film that would come out in 2012. Written by John Krokidas, the film originally starred Jesse Eisenberg as Ginsberg in 2009.
The film is centered around the influential writers Jack Kerouac, William S. Burroughs and Ginsberg. They are all connected through the man Lucien Carr who served time for the murder of his lover, David Kammerer in 1944. That is what makes the film a thriller.
When the project was announced back in 2009, Chris Evans and Ben Whishaw were attached to play Kerouac and Carr. It’s still unknown if they are still tied to the project.
