Hi, what are you looking for?

Magnet picked up the US rights to Goon back in September after the film played at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Goon follows the story of Doug Glatt (Sean William Scott), a dumb but lovable bar bouncer picked to be the enforcer for a minor league hockey team.

The film is directed by Michael Dowse (Take Me Home Tonight) and was written by Jay Baruchel and Evan Goldberg (Superbad, Pineapple Express, The Green hornet).

Jay Baruchel (She’s Out of My League, Tropic Thunder, Knocked Up), Liev Schreiber (Salt, Repo Men, Defiance), Alison Pill (Midnight in Paris, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Milk), Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy, Resident Evil: Afterlife), and Eugene Levy (Taking Woodstock, For Your Consideration) round out the cast.

Magnet is looking at a March 2012 theatrical release date.

Check out the full, red band trailer after the jump.
