Adult Swim Lays Down the Law with the DVD Debut of Chris Elliott’sButt-Kicking Crime Drama Parody, Eagleheart
Complete with Deleted and Extended Scenes, New York Comic Con Footage and Commentary Tracks for All 12 Episodes, DVD Debuts April 3, 2012
Chris Elliott is back… and he’s a U.S. Marshal… and he’s on DVD. On April 3, 2012, Adult Swim’s latest live-action parody of butt-kicking crime dramas like Walker, Texas Ranger makes its DVD debut with the release of Eagleheart Season One. The series stars Elliott as U.S. Marshal Chris Monsanto, who blindly kicks, punches and shoots his way to what may – or may not – be a legitimate solution to his case. Aided by his sidekicks Brett (Brett Gelman, The Other Guys) and Susie (Maria Thayer, Forgetting Sarah Marshall), and under the watchful authority of Chief (Michael Gladis, Mad Men), Monsanto’s goal is always the same: to overcome the obstacle that was presented in the beginning of the episode.
Featuring all 12 episodes from the series’ first season, the Eagleheart Season One DVD is jam-packed with bonus features including deleted scenes, a panel starring the cast filmed at 2011’s New York Comic Con, and cast and crew episode commentary for each of the episodes. The DVD will be available for the suggested retail price of $19.97 and will be available for retailers’ pre-orders until February 28, 2012. The Eagleheart Season One DVD release comes just in time for the launch of the series’ second season in April.
In Elliott’s first lead television role since the cult favorite, Get A Life, Eagleheart had a strong debut on Adult Swim when it debuted in February, as more than 4.6 million adults 18-34 tuned in to watch the series during its first season and the series was #1 in its timeslot among adults and men 18 to 34 during its first season. The series is produced by Conan O’Brien’s Conaco Productions and Dakota Pictures. It is executive produced by Michael Koman, Andrew Weinberg, Jason Woliner, Troy Miller, Tracey Baird, David Kissinger, Conan O’Brien and Jeff Ross.
