LIV TYLER To Star In Thriller THE SIDE EFFECT

Upcoming thriller The Side Effect from writer-director Ti West, has it’s star and it’s Liv Tyler

According to Deadline, Tyler will be the lead in the thriller/horror film. Tyler who is mostly known for her work in The Lord Of The Rings, is at Sundance right now for the debut of her indie flick Robot and Frank which she co-stars in with Susan Sarandon and Frank Langella.

Tyler will play Catherine Rigby, a woman who decides to spend months alone in space as part of an experiment for a global pharmaceutical company. After becoming inexplicably pregnant, paranoia and hysteria take over. The truth about her pregnancy becomes more hidden, all during this time she is still stranded in space.

Tyler called West “a super-talented exciting young filmmaker. The role of Rigby is a fantastic character within a great thriller and I am looking forward to sinking my teeth into the part.”

West said about Tyler that, “It was essential that I find an actress who could portray a wide range of emotion and always earn the audience’s sympathy no matter what the situation. As soon as I sat down with Liv, it was obvious she was the one.”
