The horror film The Woman In Black has not ended just yet as it was announced a sequel will be coming, sub-titled Angels of Death.
In a press release from Hammer, Alliance Films, and Cross Creek Pictures, it was announced that Susan Hill will be teaming up with the studios once again to follow-up the story of The Woman In Black. Angels of Death continues the story 40 years after the events of the first film which starred Daniel Radcliffe.
The first film, directed by James Watkins, was set in the very early 1900’s and is about a lawyer who moves to a desolate part of the UK to help organize the documents for a late client he had. While he dealt with the ghost of the Eel Marsh House, the follow up will take a look at a couple who go through the same experience many years later.
Based on Hill’s original story, Jon Croker is currently working on the screenplay to the sequel to what became the “highest grossing British horror film of the past 20 years.” Worldwide it grossed over $120 million, $33 million in the UK alone.
