Director Brad Bird will be working with Disney again for the movie 1952 with Damon Lindelof set to write.
Deadline reports Bird will be directing the project and although it’s unknown what the actual plot of the movie is, it will be a large tentpole film for the studio. Bird has worked mostly with animation including The Incredibles and Ratatouille. He last directed Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol and has also been working on his own projects that are also quite
secret including one called 1906.
Former Lost producer and writer, Lindelof, will be working on the secret project with Jeff Jensen. Lindelof has been busy since Lost ended, he wrote Prometheus with Ridley Scott and the screenplay for J.J. Abrams Star Trek sequel. 1952 is planned to start production
next year and is said to have “multi-platform aspirations.”
