It seems like everyone my age (which is 38 by the way) is pushing out hell-spawn from the depths of their bellies as if they are in a race to see how many more gifts they can get from me before I go bankrupt.
And frankly, if I have to chip in for a baby diaper tower basket one more time I’m gonna blow my brains out (Really? An entire tower made out of diapers? As a gift?).
But perhaps I can forgo the crappy traditional gifts and instead, give that kid something that will make a real difference: A set of classic board books that will introduce the great literary characters to them as they chew up the edges.
I mean how cute is this from Pride and Prejudice?
It’s frakking adorable people! Even I have the set and I have no kids.
So, at the next Baby Shower I have to attend, I’m going to give these books to the mom-to-be, and, as she glares at me for not buying off her registry, I’m going to glare back as if to say:
“Screw You, I’m not spending good money on a diaper genie bitch”.
That will show her.
