Let me clarify that headline, Sylvester Stallone is in a movie called Grudge Match and will star with Robert De Niro.
According to The Wrap and their “individual with knowledge of the situation,” the two well know actors are in negotiations right now. With Anger Management director Peter Segal already on board, Warner Bros is looking for two actors who could take on the roles of retired boxers.
The story revolves around the retired boxers as the decide to duke it out one final time for a winner takes all grudge match. Although the comedy has not officially been given the greenlight, it is expected to go into production at the start of next year.
Entourage creator Doug Ellin wrote the latest draft of the script which has already had multiple writers come and go. Daredevil director Mark Steven Johnson will be producing the film with Bill Gerber and Carrie Gillogly from Gerber Pictures.
The two actors have quite a few projects they’ve been working on De Niro has four separate projects lined up while Stallone has The Expendables II and two other films set to release in 2013.
