WRECK-IT RALPH Will Head Back To Video Games And He’s Got Some New Posters

Disney is ready to take Wreck-It Ralph to the theaters, but now we hear that they are also going to take the video game movie back to the small screen adventures it was based on. Disney Interactive is working with Activision to make a game about a movie based on a game. Yeah, I know, it’s pretty meta.

The game will be an extension of the movie and will continue the story of the misunderstood Ralph who leaves his own video game to try to the other characters that he can be a hero instead of always being the failing villain.

Rich Moore, who has previously worked on The Simpsons and Futurama, is directing the project. The movie stars the voices of John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer and Jane Lynch.

The game will go exclusively to Nintendo systems including the Wii, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS.

As the movie is already based on a fictional video game, it’s only fitting that they are making a game to be released at the same time. The studio hoping that the audience will enjoy seeing the character in a new side scrolling game.

Some possible spoilers here: The game picks up where the movie ends and Ralph is now teaming up with Fix-It Felix to save their friends from Cy-bugs. The duo will go through games from the film like Sugar Rush, Hero’s Duty, and more.

In addition to the news of the game, there were also these three new character posters that were released. Featuring a new look at the characters voiced by John C. Reilly, Jack McBrayer, and Jane Lynch, the character sheets have them in some action-y looking poses.
