It’s like The Breakfast Club but with more killing. It’s called Bad Kids Go to Hell and now it’s headed to the big screen with a first showing at Comic-con. Here’s the first trailer for the new flick based on the comic book series of the same name.
Barry Wernick and Matthew Spradlin have been working on bringing their series to life since it was first published under Antarctic Press in 2009. The horror-thriller was actually meant to be a film first and was drafted originally as a screenplay in 2006.
Taking John Hughes‘ classic Breakfast Club and turning it upside down the story follows six prep-school kids as they go through a dark comedic tale that has hints of The Grudge, Scooby-Doo, and Ten Little Indian. The six are meant to serve detention in the library which has all sorts of spirits roaming around them.
Judd Nelson who starred in the Breakfast Club is also in this new film as the headmaster of Crestview Academy. The new version of the Brat Pack is made up of Ali Faulkner, Roger Edwards, Cameron Deane Stewart, Amanda Alch, Augie Duke, and Marc Donato.
